MURIEL BOWSER elected new mayor of Washington DC USA

The victory of Muriel Bowser as new DC mayor confirms the hold of the democratic party over the district of Columbia . She defeated  David Catania a former republican turned independent and Carol swartz .

She will have alot of issues to address in keeping with her campaign promises , among  which include health especiallly for minorities in the district .

Proposition 71 was voted  into law removing the legal charges on marijuana.
