Cameroon anglophone conflict , many shut dead during 1st october marches .
Cameroon , in central Africa remain tense with recent blood shed of a number of persons among huge crowds that came out to march protesting against Anglophone Cameroon marginalization and celebrating October 1st 2017 as Anglophone independence day .
The protestants , particularly young adults defied administrative orders to stay home on said day .
The president of Cameroon Paul Biya has made a short statement on his face book page on the issue that reads ,
"I strongly condemn all acts of violence, regardless of their sources and their perpetrators.[…].
Let me make this very clear: it is not forbidden to voice any concerns in the Republic. However, nothing great can be achieved by using verbal excesses, street violence, and defying authority. Lasting solutions to problems can be found only through peaceful dialogue.
. As of this writing , seven people are confirmed dead .
