HOUSTON - Appointments for the Houston Health
Department's COVID-19 vaccine clinic are full for Sunday, January 3. People without appointments must not show up to the site.
Most of Sunday's appointments were booked via the department's call center on Saturday.
The limited number of remaining appointments anticipated to be available starting at 7:30 a.m. Sunday were filled by people who arrived at the site early that morning.
The department vaccinated 1,008 people who qualify under Phase 1A or Phase 1B of the state's guidelines at the clinic's first day on Saturday.
Mayor Sylvester Turner will
announce additional vaccination opportunities through the Houston Health Department soon.
People may visit the Texas COVID-19 Vaccine Provider Locations map to find and call nearby providers offering the vaccine to check availability.
As vaccine availability increases
in 2021 and more people become eligible, people will be able to get vaccinated at doctor’s offices, pharmacies, hospitals and other “usual” sites.
