THE ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE OF THE CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS IS IN PROGRESS IN WASHINGTON DC
Congressman Hakeem Jeffries will host an issue forum panel discussion entitled “Artists & Activism” on Thursday, September 29 as part of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 51st Annual Legislative Conference. Through their work on paper, canvas or stage and participation in social movements off it, they empowered their fans and followers to engage in the political process. This panel will explore the complexities of art and racial justice in America, illuminate the supportive influence of modern-day artists on activism and discuss ways to use their platform to benefit the lives of others.
