Gunshot Detection Through LoRa Backhauled Machine Learning Sensors

The City of Wichita discovered an expert in the field of acoustical monitoring and tracking of distinct events by utilizing acoustical templates. Their gun shot detection device is built on a low cost hardware model, utilizing Long Range, Low Power (LoRa) network communication, edge processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve on current technology and provide the city with a lower-cost and more accurate solution.


NREL Tour

The tour will include an overview of NREL's work in transforming energy and mobility in cities, a demonstration-style science and technology showcase, a lab tour including the popular Energy Systems Integration Facility and Insight Visualization Center, and networking with NREL scientists and experts who are transforming energy.
