As a trained physician in Medicine and Surgery as my degree says, and expert in global health and development subspecializing in Health communication and development communication, I am not surprise with the political confusing messaging which the many, multi-party politics politicians in the USA are saying and writing. They mostly called out by the people,s media representatives through facts checking for outright lies.
The Republicans accuse the Democrats fro wanting to practice socialize medicine, and fooling them to a belief that a single-payer system is a form of socialized medicine. In a socialized medicine situation, the government owns all the medical and health institutions and owns the institution or institutions through which payments are made for services and medical and or health commodities. America will never get to that stage even if the republicans present that to win elections following the people.
Universal health coverage which America has signed into through the United Nation,s agency of WHO or the World Health organization, requires that all Americans and residents have some form of health care insurance. Since access and affordability are related and determine delivery, the access and affordability of the affordable care act should be taken from the poor and added to the riches of those who have too much.
Former vice president Joe Biden is accusing President Trump of wanting to cut of the tax subsidies to the medicare program and allow the money to remain with the corporations and rich.
It should be noted that certain insurance is not even accepted by certain Hospital systems, making it possible for those systems to remain an exclusive club for the rich and corporations.
President Trump says he is working for the health care of all Americans, going as far as to take credit for the removal of preexisting conditions in the Obama-Biden affordable health care or ACA [Obama -Care].
It took 60 senate votes to provide poor and marginalized residents of the USA, their affordable health care, which Trump and the Republicans want to take away from them using a simple majority of 51 votes though late senator John McCain destroyed the boastings of president Trump of, I will repeal Obama care from day one, a promise God stopped him from doing as circumstantial divine evidence shows.
Global health is not international health, in which the rich give second-handed instruments and maybe expired medicines and medical commodities to poor countries they made poor in the first place but addressing cross-sectoral, transboundary health disease conditions which have global economic and political ramifications like the recent Sars Cov2 virus causing Covid19. Working with global alliances and global solidarity is the only way to have fast solutions, an absence which leads to hundreds of thousands dying because of pride and prejudice.
Health care leaders build on the work of their predecessors especially in research not destroying or putting aside what worked and served the country and the global community.
Those giving big pharmaceutical corporations huge tax breaks cannot be seen to be saying they should reduce prices of drugs, after all, they are for the big getting richer.
The average person does not understand these issues and I get it, after all, they are not credentialed and certified physicians and or consultant experts in Global health.
COVID 19 is being politicized as national blame China, a nation they always praised and even praised right from the beginning of COVID19 breakout, preparedness and response.
Those who decided that being president qualified them as medical doctors and bioscientists and public health experts have only themselves to blame and must take responsibility for the healthndevelopment [health and development ] consequences of COVID 19 after they cut global health funds for military wears.
The health care agenda in the different political platforms require truthful presentations no half-truths and outright lies.

Excepts of former vice president Joseph Biden,s Nomination acceptance speech on racial justice
"This campaign isn't just about winning votes.

It's about winning the heart, and yes, the soul of America.

Winning it for the generous among us, not the selfish. Winning it for the workers who keep this country going, not just the privileged few at the top. Winning it for those communities who have known the injustice of the "knee on the neck". For all the young people who have known only an America of rising inequity and shrinking opportunity.

They deserve to experience America's promise in full." Joe Biden.

" The most compelling call for racial justice since the '60s." Joseph Biden.

"The current president has cloaked America in darkness for much too long. Too much anger. Too much fear. Too much division." Joseph Biden.
"Here and now, I give you my word: If you entrust me with the presidency, I will draw on the best of us, not the worst. I will be an ally of the light not of the darkness.

It's time for us, for We the People, to come together." Joe Biden.
