COVID 19 Houston death disparities and public contributions .

Today 4th of April 2020, at 3.00 pm Mayor Sylvester Turner of the city of Houston and his COVID 19 crisis communication team joined the leadership of Cheniere energy, Astro Foundation, and Project cure to announce the generous contributions of Houston residents to the Covid19 response and update the city and nation on the COVID 19 response and mortality status of Houston.
The mayor thanked the three main organizations alluded involved in the donation drive for the two truckloads of supplies donated and the money matching drive for those who cannot contribute protective gear. The monetary donations will be matched up to $50, 0000 by Cheniere energy company.
The mayor said of the close to 12, 000 deaths in the USA, Houston the fourth biggest city is contributing just 12 of those numbers, indicative of the successes of the infection prevention and control measures put in place.
African Americans make up 8 of the 12 deaths in Houston, with Latinos accounting for 2 and Caucasians, the other 2.
The mayor asked the minority community to stop believing that they were naturally immune to the Coronavirus and engage in health protection and promotion behaviors given by the CDC like the rest of the population.
The mayor said the population should practice social distancing in the packs and during the pass over and Easter Holidays.
