Week 3 June 2020 Prayers
 
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4: 5-7
 
Christian Role in Mental Health
 
Prayers of thanks for programs working to improve mental health and prevent suicide, especially among adolescents. Pray for the work of LAMB Hospital and World Renew in Bangladesh, and prayers of thanks for their efforts to engage the community in mental health programming and enhance sustainability.
 
Pray for people who have experienced trauma of all kinds. Pray for peace, comfort and healing. Prayers of thanks for the work of the Mennonite Central Committee to respond and help people affected by trauma and for the “Healing the Wounds of Trauma” curriculum from SIL LEAD to minister to people who have experienced trauma through war, natural disasters or other traumatic life events that impact family relationships, health and well-being.
